DIY Embellishments for Holiday Wreaths and Garlands

Have you ever purchased an evergreen holiday wreath, hung it on your door, and then wished it was a bit more exciting? Some boughs of greenery can certainly brighten the mood, but you can elevate your wreath or garland game to even higher heights when you add on your own DIY embellishments.

Dried Florals

This time of year, magnolia leaves turn a beautiful copper color on their undersides, and they are just perfect for adding warmth to a holiday garland or wreath. Their orangey brown hue can make an early appearance on your door or table for Thanksgiving and look perfectly at home.

Eucalyptus

As you can see, eucalyptus can bring a cool tones into your wreath, perfect if you're going for more of a winter look. Some varieties of eucalyptus even come with extra added texture like the seeded eucalyptus we used in the Lora Bloom kit. You can change the look of your wreath or garland very quickly with this DIY embellishment.
